KANSAS STATE CHAPTER
ABOUT DELTA UPSILON
Delta Upsilon Fraternity was founded in 1834 upon the basis of non-secrecy, meaning we hold nothing secret from our rituals to our principles. In 1956, the Fraternity expanded to Kansas State University, and has since been the only non-secret Fraternity on campus. DU is also the largest house on campus, with a house capacity of 83 members and a total of 114. Members are active in a broad range of campus organizations including Student Governing Association, Student Alumni Board, Blue Key Honors Society, College Ambassadors, Kansas State Student Ambassador, Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, ROTC and many more. In the fall, Delta Upsilon puts on our annual Hoopsilon Basketball Tournament, PancakeFest, and Delta Spooksilon Haunted House philanthropy to support local non-profits. In the Spring, our Miss K-State philanthropy benefits the Global Service Initiative. The chapter house underwent a $2.5 million dollar renovation in 2018 that saw the addition of a new library, as well as an expansion of the dining room and outdoor facilities. The newest addition to the house is a state-of-the-art in-house gym, funded by the 1425 Club and the DU Mom's Club. Delta Upsilon is an alcohol free, non-hazing fraternity that focuses on our four founding principles of friendship, character, culture, and justice.
